The other pyramid at Memphis

The ‘Memphis Pyramid’ (geddit?) was a 90s music and entertainment venue dwarfing the bank of the Mississippi.

It closed in 2004 and stood empty for over a decade during which time many different uses were proposed — an aquarium, a casino, a theme park?

Last year it became a Bass Pro outdoor shop.

Inside, you’ll find an artificial lake complete with live alligators, a faux woodland town and the tallest freestanding elevator in the US.
